May suggested lunch out today so Alka, Ayron, May and myself went to Milestone's. I had the California salad (that May was craving) with glazed pecans, strawberries, lotsa greens and feta cheese washed down with a glass of Chardonnay (Australian Lindeman). Too chilly for the patio. The A/C wasn't a lot warmer (but less breezy).
I am really having difficulty focusing on work this week. I am distracted but today I managed to exceed the minimum on my fundraising goal of $2500 for The Ride! Just 2 days shy of the deadline!
The Social Committee (of which I'm a member) is hosting "Ice Cream" day at Points! We bought 200 individual ice creams and will be serving them in the lounge. After a light lunch today, I can afford to indulge. Been watching more how much I put in my mouth the past couple of weeks. :)
To answer a comment from yesterday's post, yes, I got my belly button pierced October 31, 1999 when the other fitbuddies got theirs! I had gone to Way Cool Tattoo on Queen Street in Toronto; that location has since closed but there's still one on Yonge Street. I think Kary was the only one who already had hers done prior to that. In March 2001 I managed to pop the ball off the ring by holding a grocery basket at my waist then pulling it away from my body, it caught the ball and off it went, rolling down the freezer aisle. :) So I've had a barbell ever since...
I am still undecided about what to brand myself with but am currently considering: a red outline of a maple leaf (Canadian flag); a green "L" (like the "L" in Laverne & Shirley for "Lorne") and if I can find an accurate Japanese kanji character for "endure" I'd like that as well. Possibly in small script font "Brittany" and "Benjamin" but I'm not really sure about those... or where I'd get.
My friend Janet last Friday finally got her first tattoo (she is working towards getting a huge one done on her back). This one is a simple red and blue "bracelet" with the "tie" strings and "SeantT" written next to it on the inside of the wrist. She had always worn the actual bracelet her son Sean gave her but was asked to remove it when she trained in karate (and is now a black belt) so she says nobody can take THIS bracelet off. It looks quite nice actually.

You salad sounds good. I am very bad when I eat a salad, I like it to be drowned in dressing. it is so bad for me.
